Justine Fuller found yoga through a lifelong pursuit of dance and creative movement. After graduating San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Dance, Justine was drawn to yoga for its expressive power and transformative potential. Upon completing her teacher training at Yoga Union in New York City, Justine refined her teaching focus to nonlinear sequences that build strength and flexibility in both body and mind. Following her breath and body toward full expression, Justine developed the Fuller Mat, a circular mat that opens pathways to spinal flexibility, axial elongation and a deeply empowering flow. Marked by organic transitions between movements, Fuller Yoga was born of Justine’s appreciation for each student’s desire to find a safe, accepting and invigorating place on the mat.
With more than 15 years teaching experience, Justine opened the doors of Fuller Yoga studio in 2004. Here, she welcomes students of all abilities from throughout New England. Drawing on a diverse background in dance, Pilates and personal training, as well as the influences of Alison West, Godfrey Deveraux and Ana Forrest, Justine’s approach to yoga honors our universal yearning for freedom of movement. At Fuller Yoga and in workshops throughout the country, Justine encourages students to use their bodies, breaths and minds with bravery – and use their practice to break the boundaries of injury or insecurity.
